Thank you for donating to Paddling for a Purpose! 100% of your donation goes to The Wounded Warriors and The Wheelchair Foundation. Though there are significant costs related to my kayaking trip, my family and I are underwriting all expenses, including credit card fees. We believe in this mission, and we want to invest in these organizations by helping stretch your own donation dollars.
Why am I doing this? Because I am the luckiest guy in the world. Eleven years ago, I lost both my legs in an Earthquake in El Salvador (see Hector’s story). Family, friends, and strangers came to my aid, rescuing me, and investing into who I am today. I have a heart of adventure and an unyielding determination. There is nothing I can’t do. I want to give you that same vision for your own life and provide you with an opportunity to give back and participate with me in this trip. You have the opportunity to change someone’s life. Even though you may never have the chance to meet the Wounded Warrior who can walk again or the child, who for the first time, sits in a wheelchair, I can guarantee they are thanking you.
